The Diamond Industry

The Bursa is one of the largest business centers in Israel. The complex features a large number of office towers, including the Israel Diamond Exchange – one of the leading diamond exchanges in the world, established in 1968. These office towers are hosts to high-tech, insurance, banking, and finance centers. The Bursa currently has four large towers, with over 43,000 sq. m. of floor space, and 1500 offices, serving some 2,400 Bursa members. Adjacent to the towers are 328 diamond processing facilities, employing 4,500 people in polishing, cutting, and cleaving. The diamond industry constitutes one of Israel's major export sectors.
